On August 30th, when the combine showed up, the field was a rich amber hue, ripe for the harvest. Of course, our Isaac was mesmerized watching that harvester reap. Thankfully, Brother Rigby was kind enough to invite Isaac to join him in the combine!

He's never sat so still for so long in his life! They must have been at it for several hours!
This was heaven on earth for him because it's his life's goal to become a farmer.
So he takes any chance he can get to learn from the wisdom of our local farmers.
Several times I have found him out in the field listening to Brother Allsop conversing with others about the state of the crops and the plans for the land. One day I was ready to reprimand him because he was out there before finishing his chores, but he declared, "Mom, how am I going to be a farmer if I don't go learn from the farmers when they're here?" How could I argue with that?
We are very blessed to live here among such wise and noble people who know how to work the land to grow food for the nation.
