For Unto Us a Child Is Born!

We spent Christmas Eve with the Rad-cousins. Can you tell that we all had a great time??? Gracie played the part of Mary. And her sister, Anna, was the Angel of the Lord. Isaac played the part of Joseph. The shepherds were Amber, Madisen, Lisa, Ashley, and Mallie. Austen was the faithful donkey, Devin--the camel, and Brigham--a cow. And wise men were Sean, David, and Karter. I think Katie was a sheep, but she is hiding in this picture. Uncle John read the Christmas story from the book of Luke. I am so glad that this was part of our celebration, because Jesus Christ truly is the reason for the season.
Little Mallie was the cutest shepherdess. She was tapping her staff on the floor, looking like she was herding sheep. (Completely in character!)

Earlier, Aunt Karen had a ball of crepe paper with tags on it that would specify the next activity we would do. It would be a game, or a talent, or some clues for a specific child to find a gift for them. Brigham and David entertained us with a trumpet duet and Amber graced us with a piano selection. (Brigham has been playing trumpet for 4 months now and is progressing quickly because of private tutoring sessions from Dad.) When it was Rachel's turn, there were clues that told her where to go to find her present. It was on the front door step. Rachel says her favorite part was "eating gummy bears." That was a fun night. Thanks, everybody, for the memories.
