Grandparents are the best mentors.Ours are waiting for their work visas to arrive at the mission office so they can depart for Australia. In the mean time, they are tying up loose ends and visiting their grandkids. We enjoyed their company in Trenton on Saturday, March 12th, for a couple hours.
While they were here, we played soccer with Grandpa, and card games with Grandma. My boys and Amber thought that was the best soccer game ever--playing with Mom, Dad, and Grandpa. After we wore Grandpa out, we sent them on their way to visit more grandkids in Idaho.
Then last Friday, my husband and I were able to meet them in down town Salt Lake City for lunch when we were there for a symposium. What a blessing that we get a few more personal interactions with them before they depart. Even though it creates a bit of frustration for them to wait, we are sure they will take advantage of each day they have at home until they leave. We pray that they won't have to wait much longer.
